Donetsk national technical university

Donetsk National Technical University (DonNTU) was founded in 1921. At present time it is one of the biggest polytechnic universities of Ukraine. .28 000 students study at 40 Bachelor and 73 Master courses. For 92 years of its existence the University has trained more than 200,000 Bachelors, eng ineers and Masters, including about 3000 foreign professionals for 87 countries of the world.
Among the graduates of the University there are such well-known state and political figures, scientists as leader of the USSR M.S. Khruschev, President of Ukraine V.F. Yanukovych, Prime-Ministers and ministers O.P. Lyashko, Y.L. Zvyagilsky, A.P. Kluyev, V.A. Gajduk. M.S. Surgaj and others.
There are 28 correspondent members and academicians of different engineering academies, 18 honourary researchers and professors among the academics of the University. A number of scientists of DonNTU are honourary and full members of different foreign organizations, academies. Donetsk National Technical University is a member of the EAU (European Association of Universities).

DonNTU has more than 70 collaboration agreements with the universities all over the world. There is the representative office of the Siemens company at the University as well as five Engineering Faculties (German, French, English, Polish, Czech) at which students are trained in a corresponding foreign language.30 professors from foreign universities of all the continents are Honorary Doctors of DonNTU. The University has the reading room sponsored by the Goethe Institute, Germany. 

The well-known people, leaders of the largest industrial companies and political boards, engineering elite of Ukraine that have graduated from DonNTU call the University the most prestigious higher education establishment of Donbass.
